I recently attended GEN-RE, an event focused on helping young people understand the real estate industry and the opportunities available within its ecosystem. Around 400 participants attended the event, which showed how curious and interested today’s youth are about real estate. The session introduced us to the different roles within the industry, including sales, marketing, technology, content, research, finance and project development.

What made the event truly valuable was its interactive format. Participants openly asked questions about entering the industry, building careers, understanding projects and developing the right skills. Each question was answered with practical insights and real-world experiences, making the discussion easy to understand and relevant for young professionals.

Participating in GEN-RE gave me a broader understanding of real estate. I realised that the industry is not limited to construction or property sales. It is a complete ecosystem that offers opportunities for people from different educational and professional backgrounds.

GEN-RE was an insightful experience that encouraged young minds to explore, learn and find their own place in the real estate industry.
